Yesterday, it was a holiday for both Jay & Kay.
We have a fun day visiting Desaru.
Breakfast
Our original plan is to go to Lego Land.
So, we start our journey from 8am in the morning.
We drove 1-car into Malaysia.
We drove to one Kopi shop around Bukit Indah and we ordered a lot of breakfast.
Very simple, drive into the shop house lots, and then drive around, and if you see a lot of cars park around a certain Kopi Shop and there are a lot of people eating there, no need to think, just park your car and proceed to the breakfast place. HaHaHaHa...
I always found that Malaysia breakfast is always very good.
We ordered a lot of food.
Every one is very happy with the breakfast. We eat so much thinking that later we going to walk a lot.
Legoland
At first, I tried to park at the hotel. The hotel car park is full.
That should be normal, as tomorrow is Deepavali day. So, many Singaporeans might take the Monday off and come to Legoland and play.
So, we parked at Zon 1 & 2 car park where we need to walk a long way to the park.
When we reached the ticket station, we see so many students, from different schools.
That means all these students are going to queue up for the same ride some thing. Even food.
We quickly checked out the Water Park. And there are 3 schools there.
Legoland is jam packed today!
And it has reached his limit.
So, we decided not to go Legoland!
But how can we come to Legoland without playing a single bit of Lego.
So, we brought the kids to the Legoland Hotel Lobby.
There is a Lego shop at the lobby too. The Lego toys are cheaper by 10-20% due to the exchange rate.
The parents gathered around to make contingency planning.
We not going to Puteri Harbour as the Thomas Land is for young kids.
We not going to Angry Bird Park as it is also for young kids.
Yeah! We have older kids now.
But not so old and big as we still can fit 8 pax in the 1-car.
So, we can either go north to Yong Peng for makan, and farm.
Or we can .
Desaru Fruit Farm
We end up making a spontaneous decision to go to Desaru.
It is a drivers decision.
So, we exit the Senai Premium Outlet exit and take E22 Senai-Desaru highway to Desaru.
The Desaru Fruit Farm is just 1min drive on the left when you exit E22.
We do not know what is here. But since, there is not much choice, lets go there.
Wow! Dragon Fruit that climbs tree.
We have to buy tickets to visit the farm.
The farm is about 100 acres. But we only visited the visitor area.
Oh ya there is a Dirt Go Kart circuit there. And I mean it when I say Dirt. When you zoom zoom around, all those dirt fly up to the air, and makes you whole body 100% covered by dirt. Like Mark Watney covered in the sand storm in the Martian movie.
The fruit shops and gift shops. This is where you buy the tickets.
That is our ride to the fruit orchard.
They sell a lot of these kind of wooden chair. Very heavy. Made from solid wood.
More chairs.
More than 100 fruits are grown here.
Two things the kids observed.
1. It is a moving house.
2. It has stairs.
My wife dont even notice that it is a truck / lori.
Of course the kids are excited.
They are about to sit on a lori that looks like a house and has stairs.
This is where we started our learning journey.
You pay for the ticket, and you get a tour guide.
Abang will explained everything the kids need to know.
We learned how to differentiate a white meat and red meat dragon food.
They get to see how the dragon fruits grow on the plant.
Jackfruit is also known as Nangka.
The jackfruit can grew up to 20KG.
Abang said, the Pulasan sometimes is nicer than the rambutan.
Puah Long Long. Very nice to juice it. Fight many illness.
The green one is the Buah Long Long juice. Orange one is Passion Fruit juice.
RM3 per bottle. It is very very good. The kids love it.
Buah Long Long looks like this.
Sometimes it is called Sari Guo.
We are now at the Passion Fruit Trail.
Its CoCo. From Africa.
???
The tour guide Abang is very friendly.
He helped climb the plants to pick some seeds for my wife to plant.
Abang also peel the passion fruits he pick up from the ground. The kids loves it.
They like it.
It is sour but very tasty. Fresh.
