Sky Sky in Vet Hospital For 4 Days

Date:  Aug 8, 2015

The deworming medicine that the Pet Shop gave us is way too strong for Sky Sky.

After applying it for a day, Sky Sky become ill.

He had high fever, no energy to move, and his eyes become very crooked.

So, we put Sky Sky in the Vet hospital for IV dripping.

IMG 7677

My younger son is bond to this cat.

Sky Sky is skinny, 3 months old.

He is very light.  Just like Kay Kay.

IMG 7679

Sky will be in “hospital” for 4 days.  After the blood test, we can bring him back on National Day.

IMG 7681

He is my cat look.

IMG 7685

This is Sky Liew.  A locally breed Ragdoll.

IMG 7707

Its Jay turn to carry him.

IMG 7691

It is Kay Kay’s turn to carry Sky Sky.

IMG 7697

Now is my turn.

IMG 7705

Oh silly me.  Have I introduced the “Hospital” yet?

IMG 7714

Pretty solid China made cage.

IMG 7716

Sky Sky stayed in this Isolation Ward.

IMG 7718

This hospital is huge.

IMG 7721

This is Blue & Sky’s official Vet.

The Joyous Vet is open by Dr. Heng.

IMG 7727

Dr. Heng has been attending to our cats since 14 years ago.

Yup, both Mel Mel and Molly were her patients.

And she is very good.

That day, when we brought in both Blue Blue and Sky Sky for a Vet check when we first got them, it was her that told us, that Sky Sky is a male cat instead of a female which is labeled at the Pet Shop.  Hahahaha so funny indeed.

IMG 7723

The clinic is huge too.

IMG 7726

Blue Blue stay at home, very lonely.  He was wondering where is his buddy, Sky Sky.

IMG 7740

This are two video clips on how I trained Blue (just like the dinosaur in Jurassic World, also called Blue)… how to catch and play ball.  hahaha

Another video.

On Aug 9, 2015.  We went to fetch Sky Sky back.

And he is now perfectly healthy.

And he is still very playful.

Kay Kay Is Now Blue Tip

Date:  Aug 17, 2015

Early August, it is that time again.

IMG 7308

It is Taekwondo grading time.

IMG 7256

Every 3 months, Kay Kay followed his brother footsteps to take the Taekwondo grading.

IMG 7264

And then, he went thru the change belt ceremony.  Which he loves it.

IMG 8337

Some of the things that I think Taekwondo has changed my son, Kay Kay...

1.  Taekwondo will help him to keep fitter.

2.  Taekwondo will raise his self-defence awareness.

3.  Taekwondo will teach him to respect teachers, elders, uniforms, and even training equipment and facilities.

4.  Taekwondo will make him stronger.

5.  Taekwondo will teach him disciplines.

6.  Taekwondo pattern will remind him that he needs to remember patterns and take test.

7.  Taekwondo sparring will show him how to fight.

Followed by the sparring session.  Good work Kay Kay.

IMG 8350

Projected to get his poom belt (Black belt for kids) by end of next year.  Not too bad.

And I just paid the SG50 promotion for his taekwondo lessons.  Thousands plus for 50 lessons.  Very good deal.

Very Delicious Penang Restaurant

Date:  July 25, 2015

Today is National Youth Day.

I took a day off to spent time with the kids.  So strange, they always busy during the weekend because of the enrichment classes.

Only time to go cycling is on this sort of holidays.  Kind of nice to have such holiday.  :)

IMG 7078

We cycled to West Coast Park today.  The round trip journey takes about 17.24KM.

During lunch hour, we quickly stop at this restaurant.

Just 10 minutes before 12 noon.  We reached at this restaurant at Clementi West St. 2.

IMG 7149

Island Penang Kitchen.

They used to be at China Town.

And only recently they moved to Clementi.

Sometimes I do my morning walk, I walked passed this restaurant.

IMG 7115

And we ordered three of this Penang’s famous food!

IMG 7116

The Penang Fried Kway Teow is very nice.  The sweet sauce that they used to fried the Kway Teow is the authentic Penang one.  Very nice, and taste very good.  I like it.

IMG 7097

The Penang laksa is very nice.

Quoted my wife saying: “This is the best Penang Laksa I have eaten for the last 10 years…”.  Very authentic.

IMG 7098

Especially with the prawn paste.

IMG 7096

And I ordered myself the Special Prawn Mee.

IMG 7107

Just look at it.  It is one of the only expensive dish they have.  $15 per bowl.  The rest of the food are $5 to $7.

Why this one so expensive?

IMG 7108

Because got scallop.

Few big prawns.  A note about the prawns, very big and fresh.  That is why the prawn soup base is nice.

IMG 7109

The Tu-Kar (Pork Leg Meat) looks damn shiok.

IMG 7110

Tu-Pee.  Pig Skin.  Very tender and nice.

IMG 7111

Pork Lard.  Overall, nice.  I like the Prawn Mee soup.

IMG 7112

Golden Fried Rice.

IMG 7104 1

At first I ordered the fried rice for Kay.  But he does not like it.  So, we let him taste the Char Kway Teow.  And he loves it!  This is the first time Mr. Kay eat fried kway teow and say it is very nice.

IMG 7105

So, this Penang famous food place is really live up to the “famous” word.  Nice!

IMG 7103

Not expensive.

Every thing is like $5-$6.  Only my Special Prawn Noodle is costly.

I think I will come here and eat quite often.  :)
